Good morning Jelly Wax Family!
We have a few tips on how to lay long strips. Temperature is the biggest factor in this. For more on that, check out our consistency guide here!
You will want to scoop as much wax as you think you will need onto your stick. You can do this by using the "Dip & Swirl" method. For more on this, check out our Dip & Swirl Video here.
Apply even pressure and keep things as stable as possible. You'll have about 10-15 seconds to lay your wax. There is a little bit of a learning curve but it's easy to pick up after a few tries! After you lay the wax, lightly touch it. It should be warm but solid. This should only take a few seconds! Then you pull it off against the hair growth in one even motion. We recommend using our Honey or Azulene wax for longer strips.
For Coarse Hair:
+ for coarse hair, you'll want to lay your wax strips thicker like we do in the video.
For Thin Hair:
+ for thin hair, you'll want to lay your wax strip in a thin one stroke. (see image below)
